Planning 2 litters in Spring 2018

So you want a Labrador, be prepared to lose your heart, cause they will get in there and keep you hooked for life. I can tell you about my experience handling dogs, breeding them, competing with them, but what it all comes down to is loving them.

DO YOUR HOMEWORK, you can go on the American Kennel Club website at www.akc.org and look at the breed standard to see the great qualities the Labrador Retriever has. The Labrador Retriever is the breed with the largest number of annual AKC registrations in the United States, and it has held that position since 1992, making it the most popular breed of dog in the U.S. If you plan on hunting, talk to some hunters and see how they work. Labradors are in the AKC Sporting Group for their retrieving abilities, if you want a pointer or a flushing dog they are not for you. They make great family dogs, talk to someone who has them, or we can give you references, this will give you a good idea of what you are getting. Be an educated consumer, to make this 12-15 year commitment a wonderful experience.

Our dogs are proven in the home as great companions as well as in competition. If you have a Brockdorff Lab you have a smart dog, that looks good too, with sound hips and good overall health.
